Bio

Women’s Health Expert and Classical Homeopath
Rose van der Blom is a Women’s Health Classical Homeopath and Functional Medicine specialist, with a particular focus on genetics, epigenetics, and complex disease processes. Through her Functional Medicine Clinic DNA Care, she works with patients facing multifactorial or long-standing health challenges, using systems-based diagnostics and integrative treatment strategies. In parallel, she runs an independent classical homeopathy practice with a clear, constitutionally oriented approach. She is co-founder of the Integrative Health Center in Castricum and affiliated with the Artsencentrum Integrale Geneeskunde Amsterdam (AIGA), where she collaborates within a broader multidisciplinary medical team.

From Experience to Expertise
Rose studied Classics at the University of Amsterdam — an academic foundation that deepened her capacity for analytical thinking, contextual insight, and understanding of human development. After sustaining a double cervical fracture and later being diagnosed with a pituitary tumor at a young age, she began a long and in-depth search into what truly enables recovery. This journey led her to the fields of neuroscience, epigenetics, and systems-based models of health and disease. Since 2006, she has pursued extensive academic and postgraduate training in the Netherlands, the UK, and the United States and has developed into a recognized expert in the field of Functional Medicine.

Alongside this path, she completed her in-depth education in Classical Homeopathy — including specializations in women’s health — under the guidance of Professor George Vithoulkas (International Academy of Classical Homeopathy, Greece) and at The School of Homeopathy in Devon, England. Since 2019, she has also been enrolled in the Postgraduate Curriculum for Homeopathy in the Netherlands: a medically oriented program focused on clinical insight, therapeutic precision, and deep constitutional analysis.

Two Worlds, One Vision
As the daughter of a primary care physician and a pharmacist, Rose was raised with what she would later describe as the strength of the bridge between two worlds. Her father practiced conventional family medicine while also offering a separate homeopathic consultation service. Through him, she was introduced early on to a mode of care that honors the person as a whole. She witnessed firsthand how conventional medicine can be life-saving in acute cases — and how, in chronic or medically unexplained conditions, a more individualized and human-centered approach can lead to deeper and more lasting recovery. From these origins, and shaped by her own experience as a patient, her clinical work evolved into a practice that is both precise and deeply engaged.

Science Carried by Care, Presence and Integrity
Rose combines academic depth with a grounded, compassionate presence. Her consultations are marked by clarity, presence, and a deep respect for the body’s inherent capacity to heal. Patients report feeling recognized and understood, and often value her ability to identify patterns and connections between symptoms, life history, and constitutional tendencies. This approach requires a combination of clinical insight, constitutional understanding, and the ability to recognize patterns within the complexity and dynamic nature of individual disease processes.

The Ethics of Care
Rose combines her clinical work with a graduate law degree, with a concentration in health law. This additional discipline reflects her commitment to a model of care that is both scientifically grounded and ethically accountable — with clear attention to the legal and moral dimensions of diagnosis, treatment, and therapeutic decision-making. Through this perspective, she hopes to contribute not only at the level of the individual, but also to a healthcare system that is more humane, equitable, and truly supportive.
